About

How I started out as an ARTIST

I have always had a love for Art as a child, sold cartoon drawings for £1 at school, studied graphic design at college, I couldn't find a suitable job in my city so I had a career change to childcare and eduaction. I worked for 10 years in a Day Nursery. I painted cartoon characters on the windows of the Nursery.

Time to have my have my very own children in 2013 my beautiful Daughter and 2016 my handsome Son I had the best time being a full time Mummy. They are my everything. In 2020 I picked up a pencil during lockdown and attempted this cat on the right. Just as a hobby as I only ever drew cartoons in the past. I was advised to look at Instagram. I then set up an art account for fun. People loved my work and started to ask for commissions. It was surreal. I followed you tube vids to work out my own technique. Practicing every night while my children were asleep.

In January 2021 I started my pet portrait business. I began with graphite and then coloured pencils. January 2023 attempted my first pastel commission to the right. I fell in love with how nicely pastels blended, the outcome of a more painted look. I offered all 3 mediums but I soon gave up graphite and coloured pencils to improve and progress with pastels. Two years later I attempted a more detailed style to the right. As well as adding more subjects to my pastel art options. Which brings me to today. I still have so much to learn and wish to progress a lot more. I will be participating in more exhibitions and see where my Art journey takes me next. O and I am the proud owner of 15 pets.
